Slim Shadow’s first ever Eminem tribute performance at the King’s Head in March 2025. A packed-out pub, a learning curve mid-set, and the moment it became clear this was worth taking seriously.
15th March 2025 was my first proper gig at the King’s Head.
With help from DJ Matty H and Joe, we rehearsed with the lighting and sound before the show.
Early on we realised shorter verse-and-chorus performances worked better than full tracks, and the atmosphere changed completely.
Around 100 people packed the venue and the energy was incredible.
Joe captured the evening while Matt handled the DJ setup and lighting.
Looking back, this was the turning point that convinced me to take Slim Shadow seriously.
